Introduction

Mass Effect 3 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Officially announced on December 11, 2010, the game is scheduled for a March 8, 2012 release and will mark the final chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy of video games, completing the story of Commander Shepard.

Gameplay in Mass Effect 3 will be influenced by decisions from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and have settings throughout the galaxy, including Earth and Mars. Combat has been changed and refined; in particular, the cover system has been improved, there will be more options for moving around the battlefield, instant melee kills and more conventional grenades will be introduced as well as improved artificial intelligence. A four player multiplayer co-op mode will also be available.

Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.

Yet another successful HXG LAN Event was held on the 7th – 9th of October 2011. On Friday people started arriving, receiving an ECS t-shirts as entry pass, just after 3o’clock in the afternoon and everything was ready to go with the HXG crew on standby duty for the arriving LAN participants. The LAN started to fill up and the vibe kicked off straight away with some pretty awesome tunes playing in the background, just to get everyone siked and in the right mood for some epic gaming over the weekend. The LAN got on the way and everyone started playing some games whilst the new comers got some much needed attention from the HXG crew. After most gamers arrived, one could really feel the positive gaming vibe inside the venue, with people taking a break from gaming and sharing their stories and jokes with each other.

HyPr XG LAN are proud to announce that for the following 5 months, there will be a monthly LAN Event scheduled to take place at the APF Hall, in Vanderbijlpark.

The largest online leagues in SA culminate in a LAN finale. The 2011 Telkom Do Gaming LAN Championships will take place in a VIP section at the rAge expo on 30 September to 2 October as the top gamers in Call of Duty 4, StarCraft 2, FIFA 11 and Counter-Strike 1.6 battle it out for a total prize pool of R160 000 and bragging rights as the best gamers in South Africa.
